Netgem TV offers BBC channels in a way that combines traditional aerial broadcasts with internet streaming to provide a seamless viewing experience.
Here's how it works:
- Aerial Connection: If you have a working aerial connected to your Netgem TV box, you'll primarily receive BBC channels through the aerial, like usual. This ensures the best possible picture and sound quality.
- Streaming (via iPlayer): If your aerial signal is severely disrupted or unavailable, your Netgem TV will automatically switch to delivering BBC channels via BBC iPlayer over your internet connection. This ensures that you can continue watching your favorite BBC programmes without interruption.
- No Aerial Connection: Even if you don't have an aerial connection, you can still access BBC channels via the TV guide (via BBC iPlayer) on your Netgem TV.
Important Notes:
- iPlayer Login: To watch BBC channels via the internet, you'll need to be signed in to your BBC iPlayer account. If you're not signed in, you'll be prompted to do so.
- Loading Time: When switching to iPlayer, or when launching a BBC channel through iPlayer, there might be a short loading time of approximately 2 seconds before the channel begins playing.
This system is designed to give you reliable access to BBC channels, regardless of your aerial setup.
